Tom Erber
Vice President, Center of Excellence
Tom Erber is the Vice President of the Center of Excellence at Docuvera, where he leads content strategy methodology and structured content best practices for the platform’s life sciences customers. His work spans the technical and organizational dimensions of structured content adoption — helping pharmaceutical companies establish the information architecture, content modeling, and change management practices that make structured authoring sustainable at enterprise scale. Tom brings more than 35 years of experience in global SaaS software implementations, program management, and professional services across pharmaceutical, medical device, technology, and government industries.
Tom spent more than 11 years as Docuvera’s Director of Content Strategy, consulting directly with top pharmaceutical companies on how to design and govern reusable content systems — with a specific focus on clinical submissions, Medical Information responses, and labeling.

Earlier in his career, he served nearly 17 years at HP as Enterprise Authoring Business Lead, driving component authoring implementations and single-source documentation strategy across a global user base — work that gave him a practitioner’s appreciation for the organizational discipline structured content requires.
Tom began his professional life in the U.S. Navy submarine service, where he studied Electronics Engineering and Technology — an environment where precision, documentation, and operational rigor were foundational, and a perspective that continues to inform his approach to content governance in regulated environments.
