Michele Furlan

Head of AI Technology

Michele Furlan is the Head of AI Technology at Docuvera, leading the engineering teams responsible for the platform’s AI and data capabilities. A results-oriented data and AI engineering leader, Michele brings hands-on expertise across retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), knowledge graphs, machine learning, and cloud-native data architectures — the technical foundation on which Docuvera’s AI capabilities are built, governed, and deployed in regulated pharmaceutical environments.

His career spans data science and engineering leadership at Wessex Water, Kriya, and Qualis Flow, alongside neuroscience research at the Royal Holloway University of London (RHUL) in the UK, and the University of Padua and the International School for Advanced Studies (SISSA) in Italy — a background that brings both scientific rigor and engineering pragmatism to the challenge of building AI systems that perform reliably in high-stakes, compliance-intensive contexts.
